Conference ‘Sharing knowledge and supporting implementation for a stronger Bologna Process’

The Conference is organised by the EHEA Secretariat and will take place between the 16th – 17th of September 2026 in Bucharest, Romania. The event is organised within the framework of the “Support for the 2024-2027 Moldovan-Romanian EHEA Secretariat: Delivering together for a renewed Bologna Process” (EHEA-SEC-4-BP) project, funded by the European Union.

The Conference is designed as a policy-oriented forum dedicated to mechanisms and practices for supporting the Bologna Process implementation at national and institutional levels, as well as discussing trends impacting the future of the European Higher Education Area.

The Conference will bring together over 70 representatives of European and national stakeholders, including members of the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG), co-chairs of the BFUG working structures, national experts on the Bologna Process and other stakeholders, with the aim of fostering structured dialogue, peer learning and evidence-informed reflection on the implementation of the Bologna Process tools and commitments and the future of higher education within and beyond the European Higher Education Area.

The event is organised in conjunction with the Bologna Process Researchers Conference, organised by the Executive Unit for Higher Education Research, Development and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI), under a dual-track format. The Bologna Process Researchers’ Conference has been organised before every Ministerial Conference of the EHEA since 2010 and represents the main European setting for feeding research on higher education into the policy of the Bologna Process.
